Campbell County Public Library hosting used book sales in Newport


Looking for your next page-turner? Stock up on your next great read without breaking the bank at the Friends of the Campbell County Public Library’s upcoming used book sales. 

The Friends of the Campbell County Public Library is hosting a used book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every other month in the Friends Room on the lower level of the Newport Branch, located at 901 E 6th St.

The friends also host a book sale from 9 a.m. to noon on the fourth Thursday of the month, January through October.

Prices range from 50 cents up to $4 for select titles. Cash and checks are accepted. Free books are also available.

The Friends of the Campbell County Public Library is a non-profit, equal-opportunity organization that provides generous financial support for a number of significant library programs. Funds generated through membership fees and book sales help pay for building amenities, annual staff scholarships, staff appreciation events and other services. 

The library book sale dates are as follows: 


  • Aug 27, 9 a.m. to noon 
  • Sept 10, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sept 11, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sept 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sept 24, 9 a.m. to noon
